PRODUCT INFORMATION

The beauty dish was specially developed for portrait and beauty photography. Its unique shape prevents light from hitting the model directly. A centrally placed parabolic reflector deviates the light into the large softbox. This reflects the light in the desired direction. This creates unique characteristics in photography. In the centre, the light is emitted more harshly. Around the edge, the character of the light is softened. This guarantees a spot with lots of contrast and an evenly distributed light that falls off outwards.

Professional photographers like using the characteristics of the beauty dish to light portraits with just one lamp while achieving optimum results. To utilise the unique characteristics of the reflector most effectively, the beauty dish should be placed near to the model. Then, you can simply pull the diffuser included in the set over the reflector. This will ensure that the light is given off more gently and smoothly carried over the brightness curve.

There is an optional honeycomb accessory that can be clipped into the reflector. This reduces stray light and the light comes out in a straighter line.
